opens the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow (fixed-term) in business administration, accounting and finance.

The post is positioned in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the Turku School of Economics.

Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Turku School of Economics, Department of Accounting and Finance. Term of employment is fixed-term (1.1.2014– 31.7.2015).

The duties of the postdoctoral researcher include conducting, leading and managing scientific research. In addition, work assignments of the postdoctoral researcher also include teaching in the field of accounting and finance and administrative duties. An appropriate doctoral degree and the ability to provide high-level research-based teaching are required of person selected for the post of postdoctoral research fellow.

Qualification requirements for the position are laid down in the regulations of the University of Turku, Rules of Procedure. The requirements for a postdoctoral research fellow position include a doctoral degree, scientific competence and teaching skills in the field in question. In addition, applicant´s publications in journals that have the Publication Forum classification and the suitability of the research topic in relation to the research profile and expertise of the subject will be taken into consideration.

The salary will be based on levels 5−6 of the demands level chart for teaching and research staff in the salary system applied at Finnish universities, according to which the base salary for the position is EUR 2820,64–3293,22 per month. In addition, a performance-based salary component of up to 46,3% will be paid.

There is a trial period of four months.
